These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern bookings made with Roots & Retreat Travel Company LLC (“Roots & Retreats”) and its sub-brand Jamaica Unscripted Tours (“JUT”). By booking travel services with us, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

• A deposit is required to confirm your booking. Full payment deadlines will be provided at the time of booking.

• Payments may be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or approved third-party platforms.

• Prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellation policies vary depending on the package, property, or third-party provider. Specific terms will be outlined in your invoice.

• Non-refundable deposits apply unless otherwise stated.

• Refunds (if eligible) are processed after receiving funds back from third-party providers.

3. Client Responsibilities

• You are responsible for ensuring you have valid travel documents (passport, visas, vaccinations, insurance, etc.).

• You must disclose any medical, dietary, or mobility concerns at the time of booking.

• You are responsible for complying with local laws, customs, and conduct standards while traveling.

4. Our Role as Agent

• Roots & Retreats and Jamaica Unscripted Tours act as a travel planning and booking agency.

• We arrange services with third-party providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, transportation companies). We are not the direct supplier of these services and are not liable for their performance.

5. Liability Disclaimer

• We are not responsible for:

  • Flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections.

  • Weather events, natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

  • Loss, theft, injury, or illness during your trip.

• Clients are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

6. Changes to Itineraries

• We reserve the right to make reasonable modifications to itineraries, accommodations, or activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

• If significant changes occur, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer alternatives.

7. Travel Insurance

• Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all clients. This may include coverage for cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and travel interruptions.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration prior to litigation.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By booking with Roots & Retreats / Jamaica Unscripted Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
