1. Deposits

• All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits secure your reservation and cover administrative, planning, and coordination costs.

• Deposit amounts vary by package but will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation by Client

• If you cancel your booking, refunds (if applicable) are based on the policies of our third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, transportation companies).

• If suppliers provide a refund, we will pass it along to you minus the non-refundable deposit and any applicable administrative fees.

• If suppliers do not provide refunds, we will issue a travel credit (when possible) to be applied toward a future trip within [12 months] of the original travel date.

3. Cancellation by Roots & Retreats / Jamaica Unscripted Tours

• If we must cancel your trip due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund (including deposit).

• If cancellation is due to events beyond our control (such as natural disasters, strikes, political unrest, or supplier default), we will work to secure refunds or credits from suppliers, but we cannot guarantee reimbursement.

4. No-Shows

• Clients who fail to show up for scheduled travel or experiences without prior notice are not eligible for refunds or credits.

5. Travel Insurance

• We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance, which may cover:

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Medical emergencies

  • Lost luggage

  • Delays or missed connections

• Roots & Retreats and Jamaica Unscripted Tours are not responsible for losses due to circumstances covered by insurance.

6. Changes to Bookings

• Requests to change travel dates, accommodations, or services are subject to supplier approval and may incur additional fees.

• We will make every effort to accommodate changes, but we cannot guarantee availability or cost adjustments.

7. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for refunds or compensation when cancellations, changes, or interruptions are caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, civil unrest, or government restrictions.

8. Administrative Fees

• In addition to non-refundable deposits, administrative or service fees may apply for cancellations, rebookings, or changes. These fees will be disclosed prior to processing your request.

9. Acceptance of Policy

By booking with Roots & Retreats / Jamaica Unscripted Tours, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
